Woodhaven BID - Christmas Tree Lighting

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Join them for their Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Forest Parkway and Jamaica Avenue on December 3, 6PM. There will be music, singing, hot chocolate, a visit from Santa, and more!

Last year, they couldn’t host a public event but they still had Santa visit to give his blessings.

Whitestone Merchants Association - 7th Annual Tree Lighting

The Whitestone Merchants Association, the Queens Chamber of Commerce, and Council Member Paul Vallone are coming together to host the 7th Annual Tree Lighting in the Harpell parking lot on December 3rd at 6:30PM. If you bring a new unwrapped toy, they will be donating to Natalie’s Wings. There will be singing and dancing by Whitestone’s children and refreshments from local businesses.

Jones Beach - Magic of Lights

The Magic of Lights, presented by NY Community Bank, is a 2.5 mile drive-through holiday light experience. It features LED technology and digital animations, including the drive-through Blizzard Tunnel as well as other returning favorites including 12 Days of Christmas, Winter Wonderland and The Night Before Christmas. The Toyota Mega Tree Spectacular, spanning 240 feet of LED Christmas trees, also returns.

Magic of Lights runs from Nov. 19 - Jan. 2, 5PM to 10pm, Sunday through Thursday, and until 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

Queens County Farm - Illuminate the Farm

This stunning array of hand-crafted lanterns has created an extraordinary immersive extravaganza across 6 acres of historic farmland. Custom designed by Chinese artisans, part of a 2,000 year-old tradition, these lanterns create a magical field of farm animals, fruits, vegetables, flowers, holiday delights and other surprises to Illuminate the Farm.

Don’t miss this on Thursdays - Sundays, from Nov. 25 - Dec. 23 and everyday, from Dec. 24 - Jan. 2.

Gantry Plaza State Park - Community Chanukah Celebration

Join the Chabad of Long Island City for a Community Chanukah Celebration! There will be a performance by Chabad Hebrew School, an ice menorah carving show, lively Chanukah music, and much more! Enjoy donuts, chocolate gelt, and treats.

Astoria Park - 9th Annual Holiday Festival & Tree Lighting

The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition will proudly host its 9th Annual Holiday Festival & Tree Lighting Celebration on Sunday, December 5th at the beautiful Astoria Park Great Lawn on 19th Street and 23rd Avenue from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m

The event will feature balloon art and special holiday performances by Music For Aardvarks, Academia de Mariachi Nuevo Amanecer, and carolers.

Tree Lighting at Athens Square Park

Athens Square Park is an idyllic and enlightening paradise in the midst of the animation of Astoria. Complete with Greek statues, benches, and stone chess boards, it now also brightens up the neighborhood with a Christmas tree to inspire locals.

The tree will stand 30-feet tall and 20-feet wide in the center stage with white fairy lights, colorful decorations, and a star that will serve as a beacon of unity and inspiration from December 3 at 6PM until January 8.

Little North Pole - 144 - 03 Neponsit Ave, Rockaway Beach

Created by winners of ABC’s The Great Christmas Light Fight, the Little North Pole on Rockaway Beach is back for another year of merriment.

Joe Mure’s home, nicknamed “The Little North Pole,” not only offers holiday lighting but raises awareness and money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. It is crowded with figurines ranging from 20-feet tall toy soldiers guarding the front door to a life-sized carousel to a menorah and dreidel for those who don’t celebrate Christmas.

The lights will go on Dec. 5 at 3PM.
