Sunday, May 8 at 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm. For Moms who want to nod to an international beat, Midori & Friends has a Mother’s Day celebration for the whole family. Alsarah, a Sudanese-born singer known for East African retro pop, and the Villalobos Brothers, a contemporary Mexican ensemble, who do Mexican folk music, are giving a mini concert at the George Seuffert Bandshell in Forest Park. Mothers can spice it up at Bourbon Street in Bayside with a bottomless brunch.

Bourbon Street, known for its Cajun and Creole cuisine, offers a bottomless brunch where you get unlimited bloody marys, peach bellinis, mimosas or screwdrivers for 90 minutes with purchase of entree. Doha Bar & Lounge’s pre-fixe Mother’s Day dinner comes with a glass of wine, feta vinaigrette over fresh greens and a choice of skirt steak with roasted pepper chimichurri, lemon thyme marinated chicken breast, and maple glaze baked salmon for the mains. For those who want to bond with Mom, Haidilao’s hot pot experience is a must-do.

Sunday, May 8. The hot pot experience is great for a Mother’s Day brunch and dinner because it is so communal. You order a bunch of broths, dipping ingredients (veggies, meats) and sauces and then get to cooking, dipping, eating and bonding. Sanfords brunch offers Nutella waffles, steak and some of the best whiskey around. Resistance is futile.

Sunday, May 8. Sanfords has long been a favorite Mother’s Day spot, thanks to its creative comfort foods, large whisky bar (the largest in Queens) and excellent service. Best dishes include the Nutella S’mores waffles or pancakes, eggs benedicts and corned beef hash served in a cast iron skillet. The Astoria eatery does not have a special Mother’s Day menu but is planning a signature cocktail just for Moms. Make reservations or arrive early to beat the crowds. Raise your glass to Mom at Claret Wine Bar in Sunnyside, which offers wines from around the globe.

Its black truffle and aged mac and cheese, smoked salmon tartine and thin crust pizzas are heavenly as are their selections of wines, cocktails and beers.
